Corolla Scoops & Sweets - Last stop for ice cream before Virginia! From the owners of Corolla Pizza and Deli, and located at the North end of Corolla, this fun little shop serves Hershey’s hand-dipped ice cream and all the usual goodness that goes along with that such as sundae’s, milkshakes and more. Corolla Village Barbecue – Locals sing the praises of the Carolina pork barbecue sandwiches served at this little restaurant that sits in the heart of old Corolla village. At meal times, the delicious smell of hickory-smoked barbecuing pork, ribs and chicken lures customers from all over the village. This is a carry-out restaurant only, but there are a few picnic tables close by. You can also get soft-serve ice cream here, the perfect treat on a hot summer day. Crumbles – The Cookie Shop- Sweet tooths rejoice. Crumbles specializes in homemade cookies, whoopie pies, rum cakes and cupcakes in a variety of irresistable flavors. They do all of their baking on site, and their bakery cases are full of tempting treats. The most popular flavors in the summer of 2010 were red velvet cupcakes and Reese’s peanut butter cup cookies. Also popular are their “cake balls,” a crumble of cake and icing dipped in decadent chocolate. Crumbles makes extra-large birthday cookies as well as cupcakes for birthdays, weddings and special occasions. Ned’s Ice Cream & Convenience -  We are the largest Edy’s Ice Cream shop on the Outer Banks. In season we scoop about 120 gallons of ice cream per week. That be sum scoopin’:) There are 32 Edy’s flavors to choose from as well as 9 flavors of Edy’s soft serve ice cream. We also have shakes, cold drinks as well as all kinds of candy. You can get bulk candy from the drop down bins, packaged candy, or try our hand made chocolate candies. We also carry fresh roasted nuts and nut mixes. Outer Banks Coffee Company – The sunny-orange atmosphere in the coffee shop is enough to wake you up, but you’ll want to try the coffee too — they have quite a variety and it’s roasted in the shop to delight your olfactory senses. All the usual coffee drinks are offered, as are tea and homemade pastries and other sweets, all baked in the Coffee Company’s bakery. For a nominal fee you can get connected here with wireless Internet access. Stonie’s Ice Cream and Fun – Stonie’s is a hot spot for birthday parties, and they make home-made ice cream cakes to order.  They offer various kids activities including Sand Art, Fish T-shirt Painting, Ceramic Painting, and a Mini Arcade. They also do hair wraps, cornrows, and temporary tattoos. Their ice-cream is mixed on a cold marble slab, and they make all of their own fudge in house.
