Even better is the fact the shared outdoor pool is steps away from your vacation home. This retreat is a short, easy walk along a semi-private boardwalk (no vehicles permitted) to our pristine northern beaches (approximately three blocks). Corolla is renowned for its wide, clean beaches, which are some of the most beautiful on the OBX. It’s also a short drive up to the 4x4 area where you may grab a glimpse of the wild Colonial Spanish Mustangs.
After a day of exploration, return to your home away from home. Use the outside shower to rinse off any lingering sand from your trip to the beach before heading inside. The top level features a living area with comfortable furnishings. Lounge there while watching your favorite shows or movies on the large TV. For some fresh air, head out the sliding door to the deck overlooking the courtyard and feel the warm breeze brush against your face. When everyone gets hungry, this home offers a large, nicely equipped gourmet kitchen that is ready for whatever culinary creations you create. Granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances set the stage while a long list of small appliances provides a little extra fun. For a change of pace, throw your dinner on the grill and use the provided margarita maker for a refreshing drink as your food sears.
Sneak out to the private courtyard where a bubbling hot tub is just waiting for you to relax, or you can easily watch the kids just walk out the back gate a few steps to the community saltwater pool (open first weekend in May until the first weekend on October, 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.) and other community amenities. Movies, games, and puzzles are available to entertain whenever anyone would like a break from the sun. On the subject of games, have the group make their way to the recreation room for some friendly competition on the pool table which doubles as a place to play air hockey. As the evening wraps up, retreat to one of the many bedrooms hosting beds that guarantee a serene night's rest.
