  • 440th Army Band Free Patriotic Salute Concert. July 3, 2011 at 5:00 pm at The Whalehead Club. Corolla Classic Vacations is the sponsor of this musical performance featuring patriotic and popular music from the 440th Army Band, big band jazz from The Patriots and rock & beach music by The Minutemen.   • Town of Duck 4th of July Parade. July 4, 2011 at 9:00 am. The one-mile parade is followed by a concert and community social being held at the Duck Town Park. The after event includes music by Ruth Wyand & Friends, refreshments, the awarding of parade trophies, and a very special "Event of a Lifetime" Flash Mob.   • 19th Annual Independence Day Festival of Fireworks. July 4, 2011 from 6 to 10 pm at The Whalehead Club.   • S.E.A.L.S. (Safety Education & Aquatic Learning) Ocean Safety Mini Camp. Every Tuesday in July from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm or 1:30 to 3:30 pm at the beach directly across from the Currituck Lighthouse. SEAL Kids provides a safe and fun setting for young people to increase their understanding and familiarity with the outdoor aquatic environment.
