Holiday celebrations have started all over the Outer Banks. Below are the top fun and family friendly events happening from Corolla to Manteo.
Throughout the month of December, the Elizabethan Garden will be lighting up the night with festive displays for all to enjoy. Tours: 6pm -9 pm Tuesday – Saturdays
Step back in time to the 1920s for this holiday themed tour. Walk through the historic home of the Knights and view beautifully decorated greenery, trees, music, candies, and more. Tours: 5:30pm – 6:30pm Dec. 13th, 14th, 20th, & 21st
Induction of Col. Gail Halvorsen, USAF (Ret) aka the Candy Bomber as a representative of the crews that flew the mission and Berlin Airlift into the Dr. Paul E Garber First Flight Shrine. Starts at 8:30am – FREE!
Enjoy a winter morning run along the oceanside in Southern Shores. Divisions for adults and children, plus a Elf 1/4 Milke and 1 Mile Jingle Jog. Photo ops with Santa after the race, along with refreshments and snacks. Race Time: 8am - 10am
Join the town of Manteo for a NYE street fair party with live music, family friendly activities, and an early ball drop for the kiddos and adults who can’t make it til midnight. Topping off the evening will be a fireworks display choreographed to music. Celebration Hours: 3pm – Midnight
Ring in the New Year Outer Banks style! Live music from the #1 Prince tribute band and a Purple Masquerade. Packages include hor d’oeuvres, drinks, raffles, contests, and more! Showtime: 10pm
