Below is the latest bulletin from Currituck County.

At this time Corolla remains closed to visitors. A timeline of visitor reentry has not been established at this time. We are currently in experiencing widespread power outages in the area. Once communication services have improved, we will be able to address guest questions individually.

We understand that you are anxious to start your vacations. Please be patient while we gather more information and work on having the Corolla restored for visitors.

Thank you for your understanding and patience during this time!

CURRITUCK TO BEGIN RESTRICT ACCESS TO COROLLA & CAROVA

Currituck County will begin to allow restricted access into Corolla and Carova at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2019.

Access will be allowed ONLY to those with a:

* Priority 1 Critical Needs Pass
* Priority 2 Business Pass.

Access into Corolla and Carova WILL NOT be granted at this time to visitors, residents, or property owners.

The access restriction by Currituck County is due to the continued widespread power outages and utility infrastructure concerns in these areas.

This phased re-entry will allow businesses in Corolla, including vacation rental agencies, time to assess structures and begin necessary repairs.

Dare County will begin a Priority 2 Reentry for areas North of Oregon Inlet (permanent residents and critical businesses) at 12:00 p.m. noon on Saturday. This includes access across the Wright-Memorial Bridge from Hwy 158.
